Technical Assistance
VOICE offers technical assistance to groups in Central and Eastern European to help them implement their objectives. VOICE has provided technical assistance to an array of groups over the years in all htmlects of NGO institutional development and information research.
NGO Management Guidebook
The Innovation and Development Centre, a nongovernmental organization in Kyiv, Ukraine received background readings and technical assistance from VOICE International to develop a guide on how to start and manage a nongovernmental organization in Ukraine. At least five thousand copies will be distributed throughout the country, with an effort to reach communities outside the larger cities. The book will include chapters on the nature of NGOs and the role they play in a democracy; how to start and structure an NGO in Ukraine; registering with the government; program development; management issues; and financial management and fundraising. Funding for this project was made available from the Eurasia Foundation. Publication is expected in September 1999.
Independent Forum of Albanian Women
Through a grant from the German Marshall Fund, VOICE assisted the Independent Forum of Albanian Women in Tirana to strengthen its organization and to implement an international workshop on women's human rights which focused on legal literacy.
