The mission of VOICE International is to assist in the strengthening of civil society by supporting the formation, independence, and diversity of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in Central and Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States. VOICE's services are demand-driven, responding to requests directly from the region. VOICE prefers to work with groups that have a broad impact on the civic sector and to provide assistance that enables organizations to operate more self-sufficiently.

Our site contains the home pages of GURT Resource Center and The Innovation and Development Center, two nongovernmental organization based in Kyiv that promote civil society in Ukraine. VOICE provides free web design and web space as a service to its partners in the region, like theGURT Resource Center and the IDC. There are also links to other partner organizations like the Siberian Civic Initiatives Center in Novosibirsk, Russia and the Civic Development-International Center in Tbilisi, Georgia on our new Clearinghouse Network and Links page.

VOICE International receives funding from the Eurasia Foundation, the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the Open Society Institute, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Shaler Adams Foundation and from a number of interested individuals.
